The name of this torte is
GLUTEN FREE NUTELLA TORTE
Description
Gluten Free Nutella Torte is a chocolate lover dream dessert.
It is the perfect version of blond, sunshine cake and dark, Nutella filling.
It is like movie Legally Blonde in Nutella Coffee Shop.
Or in real life you can ask the question: Who has more fun blondes or brunettes?
Well, let’s say our cake is the perfect combo of light and dark.
It is moist, dense gluten free cake with delicate Nutella filling.
You can make this cake for birthdays, Christmas party, Easter or any day from Monday to Sunday.
It is super easy to make and everyone will love it.
Let me repeat: Everyone will love it.
So, let’s start with our shopping list.
SHOPPING LIST
- Organic eggs (important)
- White chocolate chips (Hershey’s)
- Sugar
- Nutella
- Heavy Cream
- Vanilla extract
ACTION TIME
Making the best Gluten Free Recipe…
GLUTEN FREE NUTELLA TORTE
Ingredients
Cake
6 large eggs (organic) separated
1 bag of white chocolate chips (225 gr Hershey’s)
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup warm water
Filling
3 cups Nutella
1 1/3 cup heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
Line 9 x 13 baking pan with aluminum foil, dull side up. Set aside. (don’t spray)
Melting White Chocolate
Using a double boiler method, combine white chocolate and 1/4 cup warm water.
Mix until white chocolate is melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
Your next step is to find two mixing bowls.
(One will be for egg yolks, the other for egg whites.)
Follow the recipe below.
BOWL #1
Add 6 egg yolks into the bowl number 1.
Mix until egg yolks are pale and thick. (4 to 5 minutes)
Then fold in the melted white chocolate. Set aside.
BOWL #2
In a bowl number two, mix 6 egg whites until foamy.
Add 1/2 cup sugar and whip until soft meringue.
Add bowl #2 to bowl #1 (slowly)
Gently fold 1/3 whipped egg whites into yolk/white chocolate mixture.
Fold until incorporated.
Then quickly fold in the remaining whites and gently folded until no streaks remain.
Pour butter into prepared 9 X 13 baking pan.
Bake at 350 F for about 15 to 20 minutes. (use toothpick to check if cake is done)
Cool the cake.
When your cake is cooled cut into 3 equal pieces. (width = 4 inch)
Nutella Filling
Mix 1 1/3 cups heavy cream for about 3 minutes at high speed.
Add 3 cups Nutella and vanilla extract.
Mix for about 2 minutes or until just combined.
(Don’t over mix )
Keep in the fridge for about 1 hour. ( I did not)
Now, if you have the following:
-cooled cake (cut into 3 equal pieces)
-Nutella frosting
You are ready to finish your cake.
Assembly Line
Layer 1 + Nutella Filling + Layer 2 +Nutella Filing+ Layer 3 +Nutella Filling
Decorate with sprinkles, chocolate, Easter eggs…use your imagination
Keep in the fridge for 8 hours or overnight.
