Nutella Valentines Cookies

On our menu today is cutout cookies – Nutella Valentines Cookies.
Shopping Time
- butter,sugar,eggs
- flour, cornstarch, baking powder
- vanilla extract
- Nutella, cheese, whip cream

Nutella Valentines Cookies

Ingredients
1/3 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
1 egg yolk
1 large egg
1/2 cup + 2 TBSP flour
2/3 cup cornstarch
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp vanilla extract

Nutella Filling
1 1/2 cups Nutella
4 oz Philadelphia Cheese
1/2 cup whip cream

Instructions
In a bowl #1 mix flour, cornstarch and baking powder. Set aside.
Mix butter and sugar.
Add egg yolk and 1 large egg and vanilla extract.
Mix all ingredients well and then add the flour mixture.
Keep in the fridge for 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 350 F.
Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface to 3 mm (1/8 inches) thick, then using a cookie cutter, cut in shapes.
Bake at 350 F for 6 1/2 minutes. (about 7 minutes)
Remove from oven and cool.

Nutella Filling
In a bowl mix 4 oz of cheese (Philadelphia).
Add 1 and 1/2 cups Nutella and mix again.
In another bowl mix whip cream.
Add whipped cream into cheese/Nutella mixture and mix until incorporated. (don’t over mix)
Keep in the fridge until ready to be used.

Assembly Line
Spread bottom of half the cookies with Nutella filling.
Top with remaining cookies.
Optional
Top with melted chocolate.
