I think there’s a beauty in remembering the time when life was simple.
Remember how easy life was back then?
And just because of that I want this post to be about that time.
…When people cared about each other. And the nature.
No chemicals, no additives…just very simple, easy life.
Perfect connection between humans and the nature. Imagine that…Can you?
Or are you busy looking into your fucking phone pretending that that you are living life to the full?
Whatever…I don’t want to argue with your “Excuse me, FBI is calling…”
Of course you can’t say No to James Comey. I understand…And you do too.
Fake news is our life. So…keep pretending.
But ….I will not.
The Easter is coming very soon and I would like to create something that mother Nature will be proud of.
Yes, ladies and gentlemen I am talking about the best Easter Eggs you will ever make.
Naturally dyed eggs using natural onion skin!
Don’t you love it?
Now, let’s move and start our project.
ACTION MODE
Ingredients:
Onion Skin – 3 cups but you can use less or more. There is no rules really. You can’t make mistake with amount of onions.
Eggs – I used 30 organic eggs. They can be white or brown.
What else do you need?
Vinegar, Water, Nylon Stocking or pantyhose (buy in $ Store)
Important: You need to buy nylon stocking or pantyhose. (See the picture below.)
Instructions:
Place the egg inside of pantyhose and tied secure knot.
Add another egg into the same pantyhose.
Tie and secure. Now you have two eggs tied together and being next to each other
Tell them to be friends and get along. It is important in life to be a social being…
Add another egg and keep going until you have 5 or 6 eggs together inside of that one pantyhose. See the picture below.
Use another pantyhose and repeat all steps above. So, if you want to dye 30 eggs you will need 5 pantyhose.
(5×6=30)…If you don’t understand math, just keep going until you have all your eggs inside of the pantyhose.
The next step is to find your saucepan which is full of the onion skins.
Now, place 12 eggs (2 pantyhose) into a saucepan with the onion skin. Cover the eggs with the onion skin.
Just imagine you are protecting eggs from the enemy.
Then ADD WATER and 1 TBS of white vinegar. So, how many cups of water do you need to use?
There is no really a straight answer to this question and I will answer like a politician.
Use as many as you need to cover all eggs and onion skins.
Important: When water starts to boil, boil for 25 to 30 minutes on medium temperature.
Take eggs out of the pot.
Gently remove the pantyhose.
Rub them with the olive oil (or bacon).
Enjoy!
The color will be different…It depends how much of the onion skin you used.
Now, if you want to try another adventures with our eggs you can use a lemon bags or an onion bags.
If you don’t know how it looks see the picture below. It will create really interesting pattern for your Easter eggs.
Teach your eggs to be open minded and be willing to share space with different eggs…
If you decide to use the lemon or onion bags your eggs will look like …. see the picture below
So, this project is a simple, safe, natural project. You can try yourself or you can involve your children.
Why?
Because it is important to teach kids to reach out and touch the rest of the world.
And starting with the Easter egg is a good start.
I think there’s a beauty in remembering the clothes we used to wear or the music we used to listen.
And speaking of music I found lyrics for this song that I never listen before. It did something to my soul
and I need it to share with you.
Life Is A Miracle lyrics
Life! It’s a candy
With a red hot chilli pepper
Filling inside
Life? Are you ready?
You’ll be a butterfly in the ultimate fight
Life treats you gently like
Virgin Mary
But then strikes back
Like Chriss Eubank
Life!
It is full of surprise
Crossroad to Hell
Or Paradise?
But little did I know
Mr. Preacher man
What real life could do
And shit could hit the fan
Life is beyond Peace and War
Justice and Crime
I remember that time
When Life was a miracle
As if Zidane played for Liverpool
Life is a business
Risky and confused
God gave you a deal
That you cannot refuse
Life is Terrorism
Globalism, Optimism
Give peace a chance
Give war romance
When Life was a miracle
And pigs might fly that was credible
But little did I know
Mr. Preacher man
What real life could do
And shit could hit the fan
Life is beyond Peace and War
Justice and Crime
Do you remember that time
When Life was a miracle
(Emir Kusturic & The No Smoking Orchestra)
Can you answer that question?
Do you remember that time when life was a miracle?
And you can do this online, you don’t even have to leave the house.
So, my dear readers I hope you are inspired to make this Easter extra special by making naturally dyed eggs.
And just think about that question “Do you remember that time when life was a miracle?”
Life is a business Risky and confused God gave you a deal That you cannot refuse
“Truths and roses have thorns about them.” ( Henry David Thoreau)
