DESCRIPTION OF EASY LAZY LASAGNA RECIPE

Let me repeat myself again: This is the easiest total beginners casserole recipe. So, you are welcome.

To make this lazy lasagna recipe you need only 4 ingredients and they are very basic: store bought ravioli, shredded mozzarella cheese, pasta sauce and your favorite basil pesto. You can prepare it in less than 10 minutes. Yes, it is really quick to put together.

This recipe is an excellent recipe to make on Saturday and pop in the freezer for happy Wednesday or any busy day during the week when you need it. Also, you can bake it after assembling or you can freeze it. The choice is yours. I like to make 2 or 3 lazy lasagna recipe on Saturday, bake one immediately and froze two others.

SHOPPING LIST

  • frozen ravioli (buy your favorite brand)
  • pasta sauce
  • shredded mozzarella cheese

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

9 by 9 baking dish (or 8 by 8)

ACTION TIME

Easy Lazy Lasagna Recipe (for Total Beginners)

Ingredients

1 bag of frozen ravioli

2 1/2 cups pasta sauce (640 ml)

3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup of basil sauce (store bought or homemade)

INSTRUCTION

Preheat the oven to 400 F.

Spray 9 by 9 dish with baking spray.

Add a layer of pasta sauce on the bottom of the dish.

The second layer is the star of the dish. The ravioli.

So, add or place ravioli one by one until covers the 9 by 9 dish.

Then pour another layer of the pasta sauce so that you can’t see the ravioli. (or our diva ravioli)

Your next step is to add the shredded mozzarella cheese. (as much you like)

Be sure that mozzarella cheese is over the entire layer.

Then repeat the layers.

Add second layer of ravioli and cover with pasta sauce.

Finish with last layer of the shredded mozzarella cheese and basil pesto.

Cover with aluminum foil and bake at 400 F for 50 minutes.

Then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

Cool it for 15 minutes and serve.

You can serve with my favorite Healthy Greek Salad or Summer Tomato Fresh Salad-Balkan Shopska Salata

HOW TO FREEZE Easy Lazy Lasagna Recipe

IMPORTANT:

If you want to make it into a freezer meal use the freezable container and follow all instructions for the recipe.

Secure with lid and freeze for 3 weeks.

Thaw for 45 minutes before baking.

Bake at 400 F for 60 minutes (covered) + 15 minutes uncovered. (or until cheese begins to bubble)

Quick Note

Ravioli – use your favorite type of ravioli. I used frozen spinach and cheese but you can use meat ravioli or any kind you like.

Mozzarella – if you like and if you don’t have time you can buy from the store already shredded cheese. I don’t. I like to buy the mozzarella cheese and grate it at home. If you want to learn the secret how to grate cheese at home check the IMPORTANT note below.

Basil Pesto – for this recipe I used the combo of the store bought basil pesto Classico and homemade 5 star cookies recipe.

Secret or how to shred mozzarella cheese at home?

Stick it in the freezer for 15 minutes. After that is super easy to grate.

Ingredients

8 cups spring water

3 lemons (juice of lemons)

1 large cucumber, sliced

basil (I used 9 of them)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HEALTHY RECIPE

Add water, juice of lemons, sliced cucumbers and basil into your favorite glass bowl. (Please use the glass, not the plastic)

Then allow 3 hours for the ingredients to alkalize the water.

Drink this water first thing in the morning and keep doing it through the day.

You will start to feel energized and refreshed.

If you want to lose weight start adding the meals with alkalizing ingredients like oats, seeds, brown rice and so on.

Mini Chocolate Ferrero Cake-easy recipe

DESCRIPTION OF MINI CHOCOLATE FERRERO CAKE

Let me show you my favorite formula for this cake:

Chocolate + Hazelnuts + Nutella = Mini Chocolate Fererro Cake!

And when I say mini, it can be really mini like 2 inch, 2.5 inch or 3 inch chocolate cake. Yes, you can make one size you like or you can use two or 3 different sizes. It is really your choice.

This Ferrero cake is using only 3 TBSP of flour because the boss is THE HAZELNUTS. Yes, this cake if full of hazelnuts.

If you are asking what is the texture of this cake, the answer is …

Very fluffy, super rich and full of hazelnut flavor. This is the cake you MUST MAKE!

SHOPPING LIST

  • eggs (organic)
  • sugar
  • hazelnuts
  • cocoa

  • Philadelphia cheese

  • corn syrup
  • heavy cream
  • flour
  • wafers
  • baking powder

Equipment Needed

-KitchenAid mixer (or the mixer you are using. Can be hand mixer too)

-mixing bowl (for the cake and the filling)

-small sauce pan

-baking sheet (16 by 12 inches)

Mini Chocolate Ferrero Cake-homemade cake

ACTION TIME

MAKING MINI CHOCOLATE FERRERO CAKE

Ingredients

5 large eggs

6 TBSP sugar

2 1/2 cups grounded Hazelnuts

3 TBSP flour

2 TBSP cocoa powder

2 tsp baking powder (no aluminum)

Nutella FILLING

8 oz Philadelphia cheese

2 3/4 cups Nutella

1 cup heavy cream

1 1/2 cup crushed Wafers

3/4 cup Hazelnuts

Chocolate Glaze

6 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped

2 TBSP corn syrup

1 cup heavy cream

Decoration: shaved chocolate, ground hazelnut, Ferrero Rocher candies.

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Line the baking sheet (16 by 12 inch) with aluminum foil.

Spray with baking spray and set aside.

Bowl 1: Add dry ingredients

Sift flour, cocoa and baking powder.

To that mixture add the ground hazelnuts and stir all ingredients together.

What happen? You can’t see the flour. Like I said the boss is Hazelnuts.

Now, let’s mix eggs and sugar.

So, add to the mixing bowl eggs and sugar.

Mix on high speed for about 9 minutes or until tripled in volume.

Our next step is to combine dry and wet ingredients.

Using the spatula fold dry ingredients into the eggs, in 3 additions. (slowly)

SUPER IMPORTANT: Please, pay attention to this step.

Be very gently when mixing dry ingredients into the eggs mixture.

I will repeat again. Be sure the flour hazelnuts mixture is mixed or incorporated into the eggs mixture.

Pour batter into prepared pan and bake at 350 F for about 15 to 17 minutes.

Use a toothpick to check if the cake is done.

Remove from the oven.

Cool it for about 2 to 3 hours.

While cake is resting, make the Nutella filling.

How to Make Nutella Filling

Add cheese to the mixing bowl and mix until smooth.

Then transfer to the plate.

Using the same bowl mix the heavy cream for 2 minutes.

Then add cheese and mix until two ingredients are incorporated.

After that add Nutella and mix quickly. (for a minute or two)

Then add crushed Wafers and hazelnuts.

Stir all ingredients using your favorite spatula.

And you just made the best Nutella filling.

MAKING CHOCOLATE GLAZE FOR MINI CHOCOLATE FERRERO CAKE

Add chopped chocolate and corn syrup to the bowl.

Then heat the cream until almost boiling.

Pour it over chocolate and corn syrup mixture.

Let sit for 5 minutes.

Gently mix until smooth.

And yes, you just made the best chocolate glaze.

ASSEMBLY for MINI CHOCOLATE FERRERO CAKE

You can refrigerate the cake for a few hours. It will be easier to handle.

To make mini layer cakes, use 2 or/and 3 inches cookie cutter to cut out our cake bites.

Now, if you have your mini cakes we can start our assembly line.

Place the bottom layer of the cake to a plate.

Add Nutella filling, second layer cake, Nutella filling and then add the third layer of the ferrero rocher cake. Return to fridge until filling is set. (see note below why is this important)

Note: At this point, I find it is important to chill the cake before continuing to help the Nutella filling firm up. Usually, 30 minutes is enough.

Keep going until you use all mini cakes you have from 16 by 12 inches size.

Important: Keep all your mini cakes in the fridge until you are ready for chocolate icing.

Finishing with Chocolate Icing

Pour the chocolate glaze over the mini Ferrero cakes.

Decorate with shaved chocolate, ground hazelnuts, icing sugar and my favorite candies.

Ferrero Rocher Candies

Return to the fridge for a few hours or overnight.

OPTIONAL: You can freeze mini chocolate ferrero cake for a few weeks. When ready to eat, remove from the freezer and let it sit on counter for a few hours.

Quick Note

Cheese – for this recipe I used the Philadelphia cheese. It has to be the room temperature. You can replace with any cream cheese you are using for baking. Mascarpone cheese is the best option but it is very expensive.

Chocolate – I used semi sweet but you can use dark or unsweetened. It is your choice.

Eggs – use large, organic eggs (say hello to your local farmers market)

Heavy Cream – I used 35%

When the planning for this cake was happening I was thinking about the following:

-it has to be super simple or the recipe has to be for a total beginner

-the chocolate and Nutella must be included

-no oven and no bake because it is 40+

-can not be expensive or let me put this way: the money is the issue and the $ store is always solution. (so think about it..)

And after a few months of thinking I had my Eureka moment. My AHA moment. I got it.

The cake is made from Swiss rolls. (only $1.50)

From there it was easy. The most amazing filling is made of heavy cream and Nutella.

Top everything with chocolate ganache and decorate with chocolates, cookies and your favorite fruits.

INGREDIENTS

2 box Swiss rolls

1 cup heavy cream

2 and 3/4 cups Nutella

Optional: Whip it

Chocolate Ganache

5 oz semisweet chocolate, chopped

1 and 1/2 TBSP corn syrup

3/4 cup heavy cream

Decoration: shaved chocolate, your favorite chocolates, icing sugar, cherries or fruits of your choice

INSTRUCTIONS

Line 9 by 5 inch pan with aluminum foil. Set aside.

Your first step is to make Nutella filling.

Mix heavy cream and Whip It for about 3 minutes on high speed.

Add Nutella and mix until incorporated. (about 1 to 2 minutes)

ASSEMBLY OF THE HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAKE

Place Swiss rolls on the bottom of the pan.

Cover with Nutella filling.

Add the second layer or Swiss rolls.

Top everything with Nutella filling.

Cover with aluminum foil and transfer to the freezer for a few hours or overnight.

NEXT DAY

First step is to make the chocolate ganache.

Heat the cream until almost boiling.

Pour it over the chopped chocolate and corn syrup mixture.

Let it sit for 5 minutes.

Gently mix until smooth. Cool it.

Remove the cake from the freezer.

Pour the glaze over the best happy birthday cake.

Decorate as you wish.

Return to fridge until it is set.

Swiss rolls – Buy in any $ store or Dollarama. It is not expensive. $1.50 per box.

Nutella – the cheapest is from Superstore or Costco. I bought 1 kg for $6

Semi-sweet chocolate – it is $1/100 gr in Superstore so it will cost you around $1.40

Heavy cream – buy the package of 1/2 l which is about $3

This easy summer dessert is two ingredient recipe. Cool whip and chocolate.

It is rich, creamy and so easy to make. Also, it has less calories than Nutella ganache or traditional chocolate ganache. So, when you need emergency chocolate solution this is the one. It can cover your favorite ice cream, peaches, bananas or fruit salads.

To make this dessert you need to buy the following ingredients listed under the title called…

  • chocolate (semi sweet, dark chocolate 70% cocoa like Lindt or use your favorite baking chocolate)

Summer Chocolate Cake Dessert is no bake recipe. I will repeat no bake or no-bake. So, if you don’t have an oven or if you don’t want to turn oven on because it is 40+ this is your dream cake recipe.

The cake is combo of my two favorite recipes: Tiramisu and Triple chocolate torte! Because of that prepare yourself to fall in love with this desserts. Madly! Yes, you will be madly in love with this dessert.

The base for the cake is made of lady fingers which had an affair with dark strong coffee and Dr. Oetker rum.

Can you smell the story here? Of course you can but let me cover the truth. Or let me add to the slutty base the most amazing filling you can imagine. BTW, not just one filling but 3 of them. Yes, this no bake chocolate cake will be covered with 3 fillings full of white chocolate, Nutella and semi sweet chocolate. Can life get any better?

1 1/2 cups of coffee

2 tsp rum

Triple Chocolate Filling

24 oz cream cheese (PHILLADELPHIA)

2 cups heavy cream

1 1/2 cup icing sugar

5 oz white chocolate

6 oz semi sweet chocolate

2 cups Nutella

Cake Icing

2 cups heavy cream

Optional: Whip It

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CHOCOLATE CAKE

Line 9×5 inch loaf pan with foil or plastic wrap. Set aside.

Make very strong coffee.

Add 2 tsp rum. Stir all ingredients together. Cool it.

Making 3 Chocolate Fillings

Using a double boiler method melt white chocolate and semi-sweet chocolate. Set aside to cool.

Your next step is to add cream cheese into the mixing bowl.

Mix until smooth. (for about 1 minute)

Then add icing sugar and mix until the icing sugar is incorporated.

After that add heavy cream and mix until smooth.

BTW, you are almost done.

Divide cream cheese fillings into 3 equal parts and divide among 3 mixing bowl.

To the first filling add melted white chocolate. Mix until incorporated.

You can use mixer or you can use your wooden spoon, spatula to incorporate the chocolate into the filling.

So, you just made the first white filling.

To the second bowl, or 1/3 of cheese filling add melted semi-sweet or dark chocolate.

Mix until incorporated. Set aside.

And to the third bowl add the Nutella.

Quickly mix or stir until Nutella is incorporated into cheese filling.

So, you just made the best triple chocolate filling.

Now you are ready to complete your cake or to do the assembly.

ASSEMBLE OF Summer Chocolate CAKE

One at a time, dip both sides of ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, lining the bottom of 9×5 pan.

(I used 3 whole + 3 trimmed ladyfingers for the bottom)

Spread your Nutella filling + white chocolate filling + Semi sweet chocolate filling

Cover everything with plastic wrap and transfer to the freezer. (for a few hours or overnight)

Breakfast Chocolate Banana Muffins

Ingredients

1 egg, large size

1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (use very ripe bananas)

1/3 cup olive oil

1 1/2 cups flour, all purpose and unbleached

3/4 cup sugar

1/3 cup baking cocoa

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 tsp baking powder (no aluminum)

2 oz chocolate (chopped)

1 cup chocolate chips

INSTRUCTION FOR MAKING BREAKFAST CHOCOLATE BANANA MUFFINS

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Line a 12 cup standard muffin pan with cupcake liners or spray with nonstick spray.

Important: be sure to use mashed bananas. (picture 2 below)

In a medium size bowl add dry ingredients: flour, sugar, cocoa, cinnamon, baking soda, baking powder and salt.

Whisk together the dry ingredients and set aside.

In a mixing bowl add egg, oil, mashed bananas and whisk until incorporated. (picture 1 and 2 below)

Add the flour mixture and stir until just combined. (picture 3 and 4)

IMPORTANT STEP: MIX DRY INGREDIENTS AND WET INGREDIENTS UNTIL JUST COMBINED.

Then fold in chocolate chips and chopped chocolate.

Spoon chocolate batter equally into muffin pan. (about 2 oz for each muffin cup)

Bake at 350 F for 24 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the center, comes out clean.

IMPORTANT LESSON FOR BEGINNERS!

Why is it so important not to over mix the muffins?

Because you don’t want to make dense muffins. So, be sure when you combine dry and wet ingredients it is not over done. So, how are you going to know? Well, just stir until moistened. (no flour visible)

How to know when chocolate muffins are baked if they are full of chocolate?

This is how. When you insert the toothpick into the center, some melted chocolate on toothpick is OK (after all toothpick is just like us, in love with chocolate.) However be sure there is NOT batter on toothpick.

So, yes some chocolate on toothpick is OK!

This is the most important – use your imagination and create, create until it hurts. Don’t be afraid.

So, my suggestion for this recipe is to top the muffins with the most amazing Nutella ganache. What is yours?

Quick Note for Chocolate Muffins

Eggs – use large, organic egg

Chocolate – use your favorite one. It can be dark or semi sweet chocolate. It is your choice.

Flour – I used all purpose, unbleached flour.

Chocolate Chips – for this recipe use mini chocolate chips but regular is also OK.

Bananas – use very ripe bananas.

Oil – I used organic olive oil.

So, let me describe why is this best gluten free recipe and why you should make it?

DESCRIPTION

Gluten free easy summer dessert is the blast from the past. Yes, this cake has the history. Very successful and winning history. And when you make this recipe you will forget the flour. (sorry flour…this is not a discrimination)

It is so good that no one will be able to resist this GF dessert. Spectacular gluten free dessert. Not even your crazy uncle who don’t believe in GF. What else can I say? This dreamy summer recipe is made with very creamy filling in between two golden layers of light and sunshine. Add to that fresh, sweet, summer strawberries from your favorite farmers market and you have the winner. The best GF golden recipe.

In order to make this golden baby for the summer or any season of the year, we need to move our lazy body and perform my favorite operation called shopping. And for shopping we need …

SHOPPING LIST

  • eggs (large, organic)
  • sugar
  • white chocolate chips
  • heavy cream
  • strawberry jam
  • fresh strawberries
  • Whip It
  • semi-sweet chocolate (for decoration, so it is optional)

EQUIPMENT NEEDED

-your favorite mixer (my favorite is the best one – KitchenAid Mixer)

-2 mixing bowl

-2 round baking pans (6 or 7 inches)

ACTION TIME

Making Gluten Free Easy Summer Dessert

Ingredients

6 large eggs (organic) separated

1 bag of white chocolate chips (225 gr Hershey’s)

1/2 cup sugar

1/4 cup warm water

Filling

3 cups heavy cream

1 bag of Whip It

1/2 cup strawberry jam

1/2 cup strawberries, chopped

3 TBSP strawberry jam

6 whole strawberries for decoration

Instructions

Prepare 2 round pans and line them with parchment paper. (picture 1)

Your first step is to make 2 golden cakes.

So, let’s start with melting white chocolate chips.

Add 1/4 cup water to white chocolate chips and melt it using double boiler method.

Mix until white chocolate is melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly. (picture 2)

Meanwhile, find two mixing bowls.

(One will be for egg yolks, the other for egg whites.)

Add 6 egg yolks into the bowl number 1.

Mix until egg yolks are pale and thick. (4 to 5 minutes)

Then fold in the melted, cooled white chocolate. Set aside.

BOWL NUMBER 2 (EGG WHITES)

In a bowl number two, mix 6 egg whites until foamy.

Add 1/2 cup sugar and whip until soft meringue.

Your next step is very important – transfering egg whites from the bowl 2 to bowl 1

Gently fold 1/3 whipped egg whites into yolk/white chocolate mixture.

Fold until incorporated. Use the spatula.

IMPORTANT: DON’T USE THE MIXER

Then quickly fold in the remaining whites and gently folded until no streaks remain.

Pour butter into prepared 2 round pans. (6 or 7 inches)

Bake at 350 F for about 30 to 35 minutes.

Cool cakes in pans.

Mix heavy cream and Whip It. (if you don’t have whip it, just mix the heavy cream)

Add strawberry jam.

Mix all ingredient together until incorporated.

In a small bowl stir together 1/2 cup fresh chopped strawberries and strawberry jam.

Assembly Line

Layer 1 + Filling + Chopped fresh strawberries and jam + Layer 2 +Filing

Decorate with whole strawberries and shaved chocolate.

Keep in the fridge for 8 hours or overnight.

EGGS – please use fresh, organic eggs

Strawberry jam – I used seedless strawberry jam.

Strawberry – use fresh strawberries from your garden, farmers market or your favorite store

Whip It – It is one of my favorite product by Dr. Oetker. If you can’t find it or don’t have it in your country just make the filling without the whip it.

Our recipe today is the Nutella Ganache.

If you are looking for simple recipe that can be used for cakes, cupcakes, chocolate bombes, the best coffee cake, chocolate tortes this is the one. You will not need another icing when you try this one. This one the perfect recipe.

And the chocolate and Nutella will make the whole world happy. So, in order to bring happiness into your life you will need to buy just a few ingredients. So, let’s start with my favorite part called shopping and you will need to buy all ingredients under the title called…

  • NUTELLA
  • heavy cream (33% or higher)
  • chocolate
  • corn syrup
  • butter, unsalted and room temperature

-medium sauce pan

-measuring glass cup or bowl

ACTION TIME

How to make Nutella Ganache

Ingredients

1 cup Nutella

2 oz semi sweet chocolate, chopped

1/4 cup butter, room temperature

1 cup heavy cream

3 TBSP corn syrup

INSTRUCTIONS

Using a medium size cup or bowl add Nutella, chopped chocolate and butter. Set aside. (I like to use glass measuring cup)

Add heavy cream and corn syrup into medium size sauce pan and heat until it begins to simmer.

Remove from heat and pour over Nutella, chocolate and butter.

Cover the cup with aluminum foil for 5 minutes.

After 5 minutes whisk until smooth.

And you are done.

Eat as much as you can and when you can’t what do you do?

STORAGE OF NUTELLA GANACHE

Store it in the fridge. Use an airtight container of just be sure it is covered. (use lid, plastic wrap or aluminum foil)

It can be stored for up to 2 weeks.

Quick Note

Chocolate – I like to use the semi sweet chocolate. It is my favorite. You can use dark chocolate or the chocolate you like to eat and taste.

Heavy Cream – please don’t use half and half. Use the real heavy cream, 33% or higher.

Nutella – my favorite place to buy is Costco. It is way cheaper than other stores. You get the package of 2 kg for $14 in Canada.

Nutella ganache is the heavenly recipe for all of you need something sweet and perfect in a minute.

Ingredients

6 large eggs (room temperature, organic)

3/4 cup sugar

1 cup flour (AP, unbleached)

4 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp baking powder

1/8 tsp salt

1 tsp cornstarch

CHOCOLATE FILLING

3 egg yolks

2 Dr. Oetker Vanilla Pudding

1/2 cup sugar

2 TBSP flour

3 cups of milk

1 hazelnuts Milka chocolate (100 gr)

1 white Milka chocolate (100 gr)

1/2 cup butter, unsalted and room temperature

2 cups heavy cream

Optional: Whip It

1/2 cup Nutella

INSTRUCTIONS

Use 12×16 inch jelly roll pan, line with aluminum foil (dull side up).

Spray with baking spray and set aside.

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Add to the mixing bowl eggs and sugar.

Then using the cage attachment beat 6 eggs and 3/4 cup sugar until triples in volume. (9 minutes)

Sift the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

Add into eggs mixture and fold gently using a spatula.

Super Important for the double chocolate roll cake:

Don’t use mixer when adding flour mixture. Use the spatula.

Again, please fold the flour into the eggs mixture using a spatula.

Be sure that flour mixture is incorporated into eggs mixture.

Spread the batter on the prepared jelly roll pan.

Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

Cool completely. (for about 2 hours)

Making the chocolate filling (3 for 1)

Add eggs yolks and sugar into the mixing bowl. Mix for about 3 minutes.

Then add 2 Dr. Oetker Vanilla pudding, flour and 1/2 cup milk. (room temperature).

Mix until all ingredients are incorporated. (another minute or two)

Meanwhile, add 2 1/2 cup cold milk into the large or medium size pot.

Bring the milk to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the egg/pudding mixture.

Return to heat and stir non stop for about 3 minutes or until thickness.

Remove from heat and let’s make 3 filling. Yes, we will make 3 fillings from it.

ASSEMBLY OF THE CHOCOLATE ROLL CAKE

When your base cinnamon cake is cooled, cut the cake into the half (12 by 8 is each piece)

The first half of the cake add and spread the hazelnut filling. Then add Nutella filling by large spoonfuls (any place you want to).

Important: Don’t roll this cake yet. Just spread the hazelnut filling and nutella on top of this half cake.

To the second half of the cake add and spread yellow, white chocolate Milka filling. ROLL IT.

Then place the rolled cake on the top of the hazelnut filling.

Roll them together. Yes, rolled the rolled cake together with hazelnut filling.

Don’t worry if it is not perfect. (heavy cream will hide it)

Place the double rolled chocolate cake into the plastic wrap and aluminum foil and transfer to the freezer for a few hours or overnight.

NEXT DAY

THE FINAL STEP – DECORATION of Double chocolate roll cake

Add heavy cream and Dr. Oetker Whip it (if using) into the mixing bowl.

Mix for a few minutes or until you get the thickness you want.

Remove the cake from the freezer.

Cover the whole cake with the heavy cream.

Decorate with hazelnuts, walnuts and shaved chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs (room temperature, organic)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour (AP, unbleached)
  • 4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cornstarch

Chocolate Filling (3 for 1)

  • 3 egg yolks
  • 2 Dr. Oetker Vanilla Pudding
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 TBSP flour
  • 3 cups of milk
  • 1 hazelnuts Milka chocolate (100 gr)
  • 1 white Milka chocolate (100 gr)
  • 1/2 cup butter, unsalted and room temperature
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup NutellaOptional: Whip It
  • Optional: Whip It

Instructions

    Use 12×16 inch jelly roll pan, line with aluminum foil (dull side up).

    Spray with baking spray and set aside.

    Preheat oven to 350 F.

    Add to the mixing bowl eggs and sugar.

    Then using the cage attachment beat 6 eggs and 3/4 cup sugar until triples in volume. (9 minutes)

    Sift the flour, cornstarch, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.

    Add into eggs mixture and fold gently using a spatula.

    Super Important for the double chocolate roll cake:

    Don’t use mixer when adding flour mixture. Use the spatula.

    Again, please fold the flour into the eggs mixture using a spatula.

    Be sure that flour mixture is incorporated into eggs mixture.

    Spread the batter on the prepared jelly roll pan.

    Bake at 350 for 15 minutes.

    Cool completely. (for about 2 hours)


    Making the chocolate filling (3 for 1)

    Add eggs yolks and sugar into the mixing bowl. Mix for about 3 minutes.

    Then add 2 Dr. Oetker Vanilla pudding, flour and 1/2 cup milk. (room temperature).

    Mix until all ingredients are incorporated. (another minute or two)

    Meanwhile, add 2 1/2 cup cold milk into the large or medium size pot.

    Bring the milk to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in the egg/pudding mixture.

    Return to heat and stir non stop for about 3 minutes or until thickness.

    Remove from heat and let's make 3 filling. Yes, we will make 3 fillings from it.
