When your dish is full of cosily placed cabbage rolls,cover with the remaining cabbage leaves, pour water over all so that the cabbage rolls sinks.
At the beginning cook on a high temperature until water boils.
Then continue cooking at medium temperature for 3 hours, adding more hot water as necessary. (always have a lots of water above your cabbage rolls …just imagine underwater swimming
and your head is like cabbage roll)
After 3 hours add can of crushed tomatoes (28 oz) and 1 TBSP of salt. (you can add less or more salt, taste to your liking).
Continue cooking for another 15 min…and then it is ready for you and your family.
It can be lunch or dinner for a few days.
You can serve cabbage rolls with mashed potatoes, polenta, sour cream…
or you can just eat cabbage rolls
You really don’t need anything else…just plain and simple food that our grandparents use to eat…

Tips:
1. Before you make the rolls i suggest you soak the sour cabbage in water because it might be too salty and sour.
2. Don’t add too much salt into your food, always taste to your liking. This recipe is using just 1/2 tsp into meat filling and 1 TBSP to the crashed tomatoes and water.
3.Practice making the cabbage rolls
Hold one cabbage leaf in your left hand and place a meat filling near stem end.
Fold stem over the meat filling
Fold the two sides to the middle
Roll up.Use your finger to tuck the open side of the leaf inside.
Place in a large pot and say “thank you” to your cabbage rolls.

We need the following ingredients:ground meat (beef or/and pork), rice, onions, salt and ground black pepper.
500 gr ground meat (beef or/and pork)
1/3 cup brown rice
1 chopped large onion
1/2 tsp salt
1tsp ground black pepper
Instructions:
You can find the sour cabbage heads at Safeway or Superstore.
Remove and separate cabbage leaves from head.Cut the thick root on the back of the each leaf because of the easier folding.
Then, wash them in cold water or follow the notice below. (Please do not skip this step.)
Very Important: Immerse all cabbage leaves in cold water for 1/2 hour or longer because you need to wash off the salt so cabbage rolls are not too salty.
Now, let’s make filling.
Mix thoroughly 500 gr ground meat, 1/3 cup brown rice, 1 chopped large onion, 1/2 tsp salt and 1 tsp ground black pepper.
Take one by one cabbage leaf and on each put the meat filling (about 1 TBSP) and roll cabbage rolls and place them in suitable cooking pot.

This is one of those quick weeknight meals, which makes it even nicer.
You need the following ingredients:
pasta, chicken, sour cream, mozzarella cheese, oregano, basil, garlic, carrot, olive oils, salt and pepper.
Start by preparing the theater pasta. The theater pasta is farfalle or commonly known as “bow-tie pasta”.
Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add Farfalle and cook until al-dente, about 8 minutes. Drain and leave in strainer until you cook the sauce.
Heat olive oil, add garlic and carrot and saute until soft . Add chicken and 2 Tbsp of water and cook until no longer pink, stirring occasionally.
Pour 1 cup of sour cream and 1 cup of mozzarella cheese into chicken mix and continue stirring until it is well mixed and creamy.
Once it is fully mixed add in the drained pasta, oregano, salt, pepper and basil. Stir it one more time until all ingredients are mixed together like best friends.

200 gr Chicken cut into small pcs (about half pound)

5 Cloves of Garlic
3 Large Carrots cut into really small pieces
1 cup sour cream
1 cup mozzarella cheese
Oregano, Basil, Salt, Pepper

Begin by cooking the pasta as instructed on the package, drain and leave in strainer until you cook the sauce.
Heat olive oil, add garlic, carrot and saute until soft.
Add chicken,2 Tbsp of water and cook until no longer pink, stirring occasionally. (about 5 min)
Pour 1 cup of sour cream, 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and mix it.
Add drained pasta, oregano, salt, pepper and basil.
Stir one more time and there you have it.
