The ingredients for this favorite breakfast are very simple: creamy cottage cheese, eggs, garlic and black pepper.

BTW, this can be an easy lunch, dinner or just an idea for Sunday brunch.

  • cottage cheese (2%, 1% or non-fat)
  • egg
  • garlic
  • black pepper
  • paprika
  • olive oil
  • cheese (feta, smoked cheese, mozzarella…)

BTW, you don’t need food processor for this recipe.

Action Time

Healthy cottage cheese breakfast-High protein bowls

Ingredients

1 TBSP olive oil

3/4 cup cottage cheese

1 egg

garlic to your taste

black pepper, oregano and red paprika

Optional: add feta cheese, mozzarella cheese or any cheese you like. Also, you can add chopped onions. (not my choice)

Instruction for making high-protein breakfast

The first step is to gather all ingredients.

Then add 1 TBSP of olive oil into the sauce pan and transfer to heat. (medium heat)

Immediately add cottage cheese, egg and start steering using the wooden spoon. (metal spoon is good too)

As the mixture starts to heat keep stirring until the cottage cheese is melted and incorporated with eggs.

It will take 3 to 4 minutes.

Remove from heat and transfer to your favorite bowl..

Then add 1 clove or minced garlic, ground black pepper, oregano and red paprika.

You can serve with cherry tomatoes, fresh cucumbers, Greek yogurt or green onion. (it is your personal preference) 

This recipe is enough for 2 cottage cheese breakfast bowls. 

Important: Enjoy and share your favorite high-protein breakfast. 

Option:If you really like cheese you can add to your hot cottage cheese bowls more cheese.

I like to add feta cheese and Gouda smoked cheese. Super yummy. 

Quick Note

For this recipe we are using very simple ingredients. To be exact we are using only 2 simple ingredients and the rest is up to you. You can add what you like in order to enjoy creamy texture of your cottage cheese bowls.

Cottage Cheese – use your favorite cottage cheese brand. I used 2% cheese from Super Store. If you can afford buy the organic cottage cheese. Yes, I know it is way more expensive but if you can, please use it.

Eggs –I used large size organic eggs. My favorite and the best place to buy fresh eggs is the local farmers market. So, please do not forget to visit your local farmers market and support local farmers/vendors.

Other ingredients/spices to add– you can add to the cottage cheese mixture any of the following ingredients: Gouda smoked cheese, Feta cheese, Mozzarella cheese, an Italian seasoning, green onions, garlic powder, turmeric, hemp seeds, good pinch of salt and so on. Make it to your taste. Even drizzle of honey or maple syrup can be added if you like your busy mornings to start with sweet cottage cheese breakfast bowls. 

Greek Yogurt or Sour Cream– if you want ever more protein, eat this breakfast with fresh, organic Greek yogurt. (sour cream is good choice too)

Cottage Cheese and Weight Loss

It is a curd cheese high in many nutrients and minerals like calcium, selenium. Also includes B vitamins.

Yes, you should enjoy cottage cheese at least once in a week or more.

IMPORTANT: If you are looking to lose weight then cottage cheese is your next lover. Enjoy as much as you can while losing the weight and building muscle.

Another important fact about CC (cottage Cheese) is – LOW in calories while being a high-protein food. (WIN WIN situation)

BTW, if you don’t like to bake or cook you can eat cottage cheese by itself. The taste is great and you can just add a little bit of ground black pepper, oregano and you have it.

-small glass jar (to store cappuccino/latte mixture)

Making Breville Turmeric Cappuccino Latte-Easy Golden Milk

INGREDIENTS

2 TBSP Ground Turmeric 

1/2 TBSP Ground Ginger 

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1 TBSP ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground black pepper 

Instructions to make the turmeric mixture

​Add all ingredients into glass jar and stir it until incorporated.

Keep in jar for up to 3 weeks.

How to make 1 Cup of Turmeric Latte 

Ingredients

1 cup almond milk or Non Dairy Milk 

2 tsp honey, maple syrup (or nothing)

1/4 tsp Hot Water

Instructions for making the best Golden Milk

To your favorite cup add 1/2 TBSP of the turmeric cappuccino latte mixture.

Then add 1/4 tsp hot water and stir until incorporated.

Your next step is to heat 1 cup of almond milk until almost boiled.

Remove from the heat and pour over latte mixture.

Add sweetener of your choice and stir with the wooden spoon.

How to make the cappuccino froth using the Breville Milk Frother

For this step I used the best machine for making the froth.

I used Breville the Milk Cafe Milk Frother

The first step is to chose the appropriate frothing disk. (cappuccino or latte)

Then add your favorite milk, select your temperature, hit start and wait for the perfection.

Pour over your almond milk base and enjoy the best drink ever.

Quick Note

Turmeric – I used an organic turmeric. The best place to buy is the Winners for me. (price is great). 

Also, you can check any health stores near you or just order on amazon.

Almond Milk – you have many options when it comes to the almond milk. Use your favorite brand.

Other milks you can use with this recipe is the coconut milk or oat milk. Please user organic if you can.

Honey or Maple syrup – I like to use maple syrup. It is my favorite sweetener. If you are on diet don’t use any kind of sugar or sweetener.

Important Note: You can add shot of espresso if you like. I did not. I prefer to drink the turmeric latte without using any shots of espresso.

The perfect healthy hot drink! 

Of course you can make iced turmeric latte but I love hot drinks.

Iced coffee or the iced turmeric latte is not my first choice. As you know we all have different taste preferences but one thing is for sure.

  • Turmeric
  • Eggs (white eggs)
  • White vinegar

Equipment Needed

-medium sauce pan

-wooden spoon

-medium size bowl (I used glass bowl)

Action Time

Making Natural Best Turmeric Easter Eggs

Ingredients

5 eggs, boiled

4 cups water

1/2 tsp vinegar

1 TBSP turmeric

Important: use white eggs for this recipe.

Instructions for making Turmeric Eggs

Add water to the sauce pan and bring to the boil.

When water boils remove from the heat and transfer to the bowl.

Immediately add 1 TBSP of turmeric and stir with wooden spoon.

Add the white vinegar and quickly stir again.

Cover the mixture and let it sit for 15 minutes.

Your next step is to pour the turmeric mixture into a sauce pan through a strainer.

Then add 5 hot boiled eggs to the turmeric mixture.

Important: Be very careful when transferring hot eggs to the turmeric water.

Be sure the eggs are completely covered by the liquid.

Be kind and let them enjoy turmeric bath for at least 2 hours.

My Easter turmeric eggs were bathing for full 3 hours.

Please check the color after 60 minutes and keep checking until you get the color you like.

If you like very light yellow eggs 60 to 90 minutes might be enough.

When you are happy with your sunshine eggs remove them from the liquid and place on paper towel to dry.

Extra step I like to do: Take a little piece of cheese cloth and moisten with olive oil. Then rub your eggs to make them extra happy, sunshine yellow turmeric eggs.

And this is it. You just made the sunshine eggs in your kitchen.

Quick Note

Eggs – please use large, white eggs. If you need color to be sunshine yellow the eggs must be white. Of course use organic eggs if you can. After all this is the project you will be eating so use the best quality ingredients you can afford.

Turmeric – I used the organic turmeric. The place I like to buy turmeric is the Winners store. Why? Because the price is the best and the quality is amazing.

Vinegar – this recipe was tested using white vinegar.

Turmeric Eggs using Brown Eggs

So what if you don’t have any white eggs? Can you dyed eggs with turmeric using the brown eggs?

What do you think?

Of course you can. The only problem is that your eggs will not be the yellow color.

Yes, if using turmeric to dye the brown eggs you will get kind of light brown color.

And you can see the difference bellow…So if you like the natural light brown color eggs please use the turmeric to make it happen.

The ingredients for this recipe are simple: Dr. spinach, Italian parsley, ricotta cheese, garlic, mozzarella, olive oil and the rye bread.

Making Green Easy Sandwich Recipe

Ingredients

3 cups spinach (fresh, organic if you can)

2 cloves of garlic

1/4 cup Italian parsley

3 TBSP olive oil

1/4 cup mozzarella cheese

salt/black pepper to taste

1/4 cup ricotta cheese

3 slices of Gouda cheese (if you want to)

6 to 10 slices of your favorite bread (Rye bread, WW bread)

Optional: eggs

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING Green Sandwich Recipe

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Line baking sheet with aluminum foil. Set aside.

In the bowl of a food processor add spinach, Italian parsley, garlic, salt and black pepper.

Blend adding the olive oil until completely smooth.

Then add mozzarella cheese and blend for a few seconds.

Spread the spinach mixture onto 3 slices of bread. (it will be thick amount of spinach)

Optional: Top spinach mixture with the Gouda cheese.

Then spread other 3 slices of bread with ricotta cheese and place over the spinach bread slice.

Top the covered sandwich with grated cheese, sprinkle of olive oil and and sweet red paprika.

Bake at 375 F for 10 minutes.

Option 2 for Green Easy Sandwich Recipe

When sandwich is baked top each sandwich with 1 egg, salt and oregano.

Return to over and bake at 400 F for additional 6 minutes or until baked to your liking.

I used cookie cutter to hold the egg on the top of the sandwich.

Serve with my favorite recipe Greek salad or Easy French Salad from Croatia-Let’s Travel.

Quick Note

Spinach – I used fresh, organic spinach.

Ricotta cheese – if you don’t have ricotta cheese use the sour cream or Philadelphia cheese.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups spinach (fresh, organic if you can)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1/4 cup Italian parsley
  • 3 TBSP olive oil
  • 1/4 cup mozzarella cheese
  • salt/black pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup ricotta cheese
  • 3 slices of Gouda cheese (if you want to)
  • 6 to 10 slices of your favorite bread (Rye bread, WW bread)
  • Optional: eggs

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 375 F.

    Line baking sheet with aluminum foil. Set aside.

    In the bowl of a food processor add spinach, Italian parsley, garlic, salt and black pepper.

    Blend adding the olive oil until completely smooth.

    Then add mozzarella cheese and blend for a few seconds.

    Spread the spinach mixture onto 3 slices of bread. (it will be thick amount of spinach)

    Optional: Top spinach mixture with the Gouda cheese.

    Then spread other 3 slices of bread with ricotta cheese and place over the spinach bread slice.

    Top the covered sandwich with grated cheese, sprinkle of olive oil and and sweet red paprika.

    Bake at 375 F for 10 minutes.

    Option 2 for Green Easy Sandwich Recipe

    When sandwich is baked top each sandwich with 1 egg, salt and oregano.

    Return to over and bake at 400 F for additional 6 minutes or until baked to your liking.

    I used cookie cutter to hold the egg on the top of the sandwich.

And how about pickled sweet red peppers? Yes this is my favorite recipe. I love, love red peppers. In any shape and form. And I am not kidding you. Baked, cooked, canned …. it is always the best recipe to eat. So, let’s make the best canning recipe with my 5 star ingredients called RED PEPPERS.

Easy Red Peppers Recipe

Ingredients

8 red peppers

1 yellow peppers

6 cloves of garlic per jar (use less if you don’t like the garlic)

3 whole black peppers

2 tsp salt per jar

1 tsp sugar per jar

4 TBSP of white vinegar per jar

boiling water

Instruction for making pickled peppers

First step is to wash the peppers.

Step 2 is to remove the seeds and ribs.

Then cut the peppers halves into lengthwise strips.

Place the red or yellow strips in a glass jar.

Add 6 cloves of garlic to each jar 3 whole black peppers.

Then add to each jar 2 tsp of sea salt, 1 tsp of sugar and 4 TBSP of white vinegar.

Repeat process until all peppers are used.

Then pour hot water into each jar until the peppers are fully covered.

Seal well.

For the next step do not be afraid.

Gently shake each jar so that all ingredients get mixed together.

IMPORTANT: Use kitchen towel or gloves when shaking the jar because of the hot jars.

Turn jars upside down and cover with towel and blanket.

Leave them overnight.

Be sure the jars are taken care like they are little babies.

IMPORTANT FOR SMALL GLASS JARS

For small jar: add 1 tsp salt, 1/2 tsp sugar and 2 TBSP of white vinegar. (add garlic and black pepper to your liking)

Store it in a dark place for 9 days. ENJOY AND SHARE.

Salt – I used sea salt

Garlic – you can use as much as you like. If you do not like do not use it.

Red Peppers – buy from your local Farmers market

Important: you can add chopped Italian parsley if you like the taste.

It is called super easy homemade cheese recipe. And let me tell you a little more about this amazing cheese recipe.

To make this recipe you need to have the following ingredients listed under the title called…

SHOPPING LIST FOR HOMEMADE CHEESE

  • milk (3.25%)
  • sour cream (14%)

Equipment needed

-2 large saucepan

-kitchen towel

-cheesecloth

-strainer

-glass dish to store cheese in the fridge (no plastic)

Action Time

Making Easy Homemade Cheese Recipe

Ingredients

4 l of milk

1/2 cup of sour cream

Instructions for making easy homemade cheese

Coat the bottom of the saucepan with sour cream.

Then pour the milk into the saucepan.

Cover with lid, then with kitchen towel and let it sit for 48 hours.

Important: Keep it on your room temperature. Don’t transfer to the fridge. (Kitchen counter is the location)

After 48 hours:

Find the second large saucepan. (it can be large bowl too)

Put the strainer on top of the saucepan.

Cover with kitchen towel and then with the cheesecloth.

Pour the cheese from the other saucepan.

All the liquid (the whey) will drain and be collected in the saucepan below.

Don’t do anything for 15 minutes, just let it happen on its own.

Then lift the cheese cloth and kitchen towel at the same time and start twisting and squeezing to remove the liquid. This has to be very gently twist and squeeze.

Then let it sit like that for about 10 hours. (don’t do anything)

After 10 hours remove the cheesecloth and kitchen towel and transfer cheese to the plate.

Season with salt, black pepper, red paprika, garlic, Italian parsley or anything you like.

Also, you can eat without the salt if you are on diet or don’t like to use the salt.

Cut your perfect homemade cheese to the size you like and don’t forget: Enjoy and share.

Store in the fridge.

bread – cheese – ham – mustard – mayo – mixture of eggs and milk

If you are wondering when to eat this sandwich the answer is simple. Monte Cristo sandwich is for any time of the day. Can be your breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also, this is great idea for Sunday brunch or lazy Friday night when you want to stay inside and just watch TV. The sandwich is made in no time. Super fast and so easy.

Making Simple Egg Breakfast Recipe

Ingredients

1 egg

2 tsp of Italian Parsley (chopped)

salt and peeper to your taste

1 slice of cheese

2 slices of your favorite bread

Optional: basil pesto, garlic, onions

INSTRUCTIONS FOR EGG BREAKFAST

Using a cookie cutter, cut a hole out of the center.

In a small bowl mix eggs, Italian parsley, salt and pepper.

Add 1 TBSP of olive oil into the pan.

Place a frying pan on a medium heat.

Heat until the oil is very hot.

Place the bread with hole into it.

Add half of egg mixture into each hole.

Cover each whole with small piece of cheese. (any kind of cheese you like, mozzarella…)

Cook for a minute or until egg is set and then cover with rounded piece of bread.

Using the spoon press the cut circle of the bread inside of the hole.

Flip the bread over and cook the other side to your liking. (50 to 60 seconds)

Optional: spread 1 TBSP of basil pesto over the cooked bread. Top with minced garlic or chopped onions.

Serve with your favorite salad, tomatoes or glass of yogurt.

  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp of Italian Parsley (chopped)
  • salt and peeper to your taste
  • 1 slice of cheese
  • 2 slices of your favorite bread
  • Optional: basil pesto, garlic, onions

Instructions

    Using a cookie cutter, cut a hole out of the center.

    In a small bowl mix eggs, Italian parsley, salt and pepper.

    Add 1 TBSP of olive oil into the pan.

    Place a frying pan on a medium heat.

    Heat until the oil is very hot.

    Place the bread with hole into it.

    Add half of egg mixture into each hole.

    Cover each whole with small piece of cheese. (any kind of cheese you like, mozzarella...)

    Cook for a minute or until egg is set and then cover with rounded piece of bread.

    Using the spoon press the cut circle of the bread inside of the hole.

    Flip the bread over and cook the other side to your liking. (50 to 60 seconds)

    Optional: spread 1 TBSP of basil pesto over the cooked bread. Top with minced garlic or chopped onions.

    Serve with your favorite salad, tomatoes or glass of yogurt.

The recipe is using all of your favorite ingredients or I like to say “whatever floats your boat”.

Since the recipe is super easy, we need to start with our first step which is shopping. And for shopping you need..

Making French Bread Cheese Boat

Ingredients

1 loaf of French Bread

4 eggs, large

1 1/2 cups grated mozzarella cheese

spinach (just to cover the top of the eggs)

1 small pepper, chopped

3 cloves of garlic,minced

1/2 onion, chopped (optional)

salt, pepper and oregano to your taste

feta cheese to your taste

INSTRUCTIONS FOR MAKING CHEESE BOAT

Preheat oven to 375 F.

Line baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Now you are ready for the recipe.

Your first step is to cut the top of the bread.

Then scoop out the bread in the center and make your French bread boat.

Place your French bread boat in a baking sheet or pan (9 by 13 inch).

Add grated mozzarella cheese into the hollow center of the bread.

Crack 4 eggs on top of the cheese and season with salt, black pepper and oregano.

Cover eggs with spinach and top with the rest of grated mozzarella cheese and peppers .

Bake at 375 F for 30 to 35 minutes. (depends how baked you want your eggs to be)

Remove from oven and top with fresh garlic and feta cheese.

Optional: you can add fresh tomatoes, Italian parsley, chopped onions.

Quick Note

French Bread – I used store bought French Bread ($1.19 in Canada)

Onion – I did not use onions but if you like it add chopped, fresh onions to the baked French Bread Cheese Boat.

Other options for this recipe – you can add bacon, parsley, basil, basil pesto, ham…

IMPORTANT: If you want smaller cheese boats, you can also make mini French Bread Cheese boat…The same recipe.

Egg salad sandwich is the perfect recipe for the breakfast, lunch or dinner. Also, it is an ideal office lunch solution. Sometimes I make healthy egg salad with lettuce or if I am not on diet I use my favorite bread or store bough bread. So, it is your choice. With homemade bread or with lettuce!

MAKING Egg Salad Sandwich Recipe-Best Protein

Ingredients

5 eggs, hard boiled

1/3 cup mayo

2 tsp mustard

1/2 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/8 tsp paprika

2 cloves of garlic (minced)

1/2 cup of cooked peas

1 tomato

INSTRUCTION FOR THE BEST EGG SALAD RECIPE

Hard boiled 5 eggs. If you don’t know how check below or check this link

Bring eggs to rolling boil over high heat.

When the water has reached a boil, set the timer for 12 minutes.

Important: Boil the eggs for 12 at medium heat.

If you really like hard, hard boiled eggs set your timer for 15 minutes.

After 12 minutes or your ideal time, remove the saucepan from the heat and let the eggs rest for 10 minutes.

Then drain the hot water and run cold water over eggs until cooled.

Peel and chop the eggs.

Then add to a medium size bowl.

Add mayo, mustard, salt, pepper and mix well.

This is the base simple homemade version.

I liked to add cooked cooled peas and garlic.

Optional: add sliced tomatoes, Italian parsley, dill and so on…

Spread on your favorite bread, lettuce.
